Robert Colangelo, Founding Farmer/CEO of Green Sense Farms, a leader in Indoor Vertical Farming (IVF) will discuss their new approach to growing leafy green vegetables.  Green Sense Farms is building a network of indoor vertical farms in the USA, Canada, Scandinavian and Asian Pacific countries.

WHY: Growing indoors can produce higher crop yields using less water, land, and fertilizer. They’re learning how to best deploy this new technology. IVF can be combined with greenhouses and field farms to maximize yield by producing herbs, lettuces, and seedlings for transplants.  Green Sense Farms is transforming farming and improving produce distribution with their technology and is looking to work with the lettuce industry to improve productivity in a sustainable manner.

This event is hosted by the Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation, which is working to expand Yuma’s food processing industry.
