Tier 2A water shortage declared

Arizona is among several states facing a drought. Tuesday, the Bureau of Reclamation declared a Tier 2A shortage of water from the Colorado River.
Now, Arizona will be required to take a cut in water deliveries of nearly 600,000 acre feet.

The river is the heart of the agricultural irrigation system for farmers in the Yuma growing region. The law of the river determines where it goes.
